RELUFA, a member of the KP Civil Society, participated in a regional workshop organized from March 28th to March 30th, 2024. The meeting gathered members from the central African sub-region to assess the current state of diamond governance, analyze challenges, and explore avenues for improvement. Representatives from six countries (Angola, Cameroon, the Republic of Congo, Gabon, the Central African Republic, and the Democratic Republic of Congo) were in attendance. Key topics discussed included diamond smuggling, the embargo on Central African Republic diamonds, and pollution in the Tshikapa and Kasai rivers.
