VISION
A
community within RELUFA, which allows the poor to enjoy access to
loans, security of savings and close accompaniment to be able to
participate actively in improving their living conditions.
GOAL
In
a Spirit of solidarity and Love, RELUFA intends to establish within the
network a program that strengthens the capacities of its members and
through them offers to the target groups access to loans, to skills
necessary to realize their projects, to security of savings and to
close accompaniment for the long term success of their activities.
OBJECTIVES
The creation of a micro-finance institution with activities that: •
target in a differential manner local initiatives of the poor, awaken
their initiative, encourage their creativity and strengthen their
ability to devise, plan, set up and manage income generating projects
- provide in all transparency straightforward financial support with
recovery mechanisms that are flexible and tailored to the
beneficiaries' needs while securing savings within the communities
- make all stakeholders aware of their responsibilities, train them in
specifics of loan programs and nurture the practice of saving
- teach members and beneficiaries skills in book-keeping and transparent financial management
- ensure a close and effective in-the-field accompaniment of the beneficiaries by RELUFA members
- envision regular monitoring by the staff and adequately respond to needs for professional training
- develop recovery methods, and create solidarity funds to make up for failing loans
- create a mechanism for local redistribution of the profits for useful
but not income generating projects and educational loans
- facilitate the exchange of experiences among the beneficiaries and create a data base on projects
- nurture a spirit of love and solidarity among the active agents of the program
