The REseau de LUtte contre la FAim (RELUFA) is a non-partisan national network of Cameroonian churches, and ecumenical and secular non-profit organizations. The 20 member organizations come from all regions in Cameroon and have joined forces to develop common strategies against systemic problems of hunger, poverty, and socio-economic and environmental injustice. Since 2001 RELUFA enjoys legal status under Cameroonian law. VISION A just society in which the members participate actively to improve their general living conditions, in harmony with each other and with respect to the divine plan, which places humankind as creation's steward. OBJECTIVES The network has as its general objective the eradication of hunger in Cameroon by tackling causes from the conjuncture (natural and manmade disasters) as well as structural and psychological causes. Therefore, the network intends to:
ORGANIZATION Decision-making, planning, implementation and supervision of programs and policies are ensured by the General Assembly of network members, a five-member Board of Directors, the Coordination and various Task Forces. RELUFA strategizes its actions around the three main themes of Food Sovereignty, Economic Alternatives and Just Relations, with programs on Economic Justice and Gender Justice.
